Binamandiri history was started in 1985. It began because of the big concern of the founder of Binamandiri, Mrs. Tuti Sanarto, towards the quality of the maids whose were working in the Middle East. At that time the manpower companies only concerned to send the maids without giving the appropriate training and education to the maid before the deployment thus created big problems especially to the maids. The maids lack of knowledge of the job description, destination language, and duties/right of a worker.
Based on those, Mrs. Tuti Sanarto offered a suggestion to Minister of Manpower, Mr. Sudomo, to open the first overseas training center in Indonesia.
Mr. Sudomo officially opened Karya Luhur training center in 12 Mei 1985, which all Manpower companies in Indonesia had to send the maid to the training center before their placement in Middle East.
Karya Luhur training center was the embryo of the new law of placement overseas that all manpower companies should provide training center to train and educate the maid before employment.
More big concern occurred after many maids had been placed in Middle East, because of lack of protection and poor law enforcement towards the maids in Middle East. Mrs. Tuti Sanarto was encouraged to seek new destination countries with good law enforcement and higher salary. In 1988, Mrs. Tuti Sanarto manage to open maid placement in Hong Kong for the first time and Karya Luhur Training Center was transform to PT Binamandiri Muliaraharja as Manpower Company for Hong Kong destination. With more than 20 years of experience, PT Binamandiri Muliaraharja has place more than 50.000 workers in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam.
Since January 2005, the next generation continues the management of PT Binamandiri with new technology; PT Binamandiri tries to improve the performance, gives better service toward our partner agencies and the workers.
